Safeguarding is the Ofsted buzzword

You and your colleagues may already wear name badges (we now supply more than 400 Schools, Colleges and Universities). You will be using them to improve communication and security. They work very well and we have lots of testimonial comments about them.

The recent Ofsted publicity about SAFEGUARDING has led a number of our customers to consider upgrading to Photographic Identity Cards. We wanted to let you know that ID cards are available quickly and securely.

Worn as name badges, ID cards do the same job in terms of communication – but they have the advantage of increased security through the addition of the wearer's photograph.

Photographic Identity Cards are supplied with a choice of safety neck lanyard, strap & clip (fastened to a belt or waistband) or a magnet on the back of the card – working in the sameway as with name badges.

Is it easy? It is as easy as taking photographs of all relevant adults, agreeing a card layout and choosing the fastening (can be mixed per order). Ok, so collating all the photographs is a chore – but it only needs to be done once and then new staff additions can be taken and sent as appropriate.

Is it expensive? A photographic identity card with your choice of fastening is supplied at exactly the same price as an ordinary, best-selling, acrylic-coated name badge with magnet. Full, sliding scale price list available – applies to all places of education.

Is it effective? Identity cards are part of everyday life. In schools, they are displayed to show that you are who you say you are and that you are approved to be on school premises.

Does it SAFEGUARD? Yes it does. It is just a small item on the long list of measures advised for the safeguarding of children and young people. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office to hold data securely
